CONVENTION: JULY 2016

Convention Structure and Goals

To help connect young women to the political process, a convention will be held in Washington, D.C. near the 167th anniversary of the Seneca Falls Convention: Monday, July 11th-Wednesday, July 13th, 2016. Not only is this date historically significant, it is also strategically beneficial to our purpose. By having the convention just before the general election, we will demand that if officials want our votes they must protect our rights.

Throughout the convention, delegates will have the opportunity to learn from experts during issue-based workshops, participate in debate and vote on a resolution modeled after the Declaration of Sentiments, lobby Congress, hear from SHEroes and connect with other empowered women.

We want this to be an opportunity for all young women of different races, ethnicities, religions, socioeconomic statuses, abilities and sexual orientations participate, to come together and push forward together.
